Post Photoshoot Interview With: Edite, English Teacher and Founder of Edite Seu Ingles

How would you describe the essence of your brand and how you want to help others?

My "slogan" is "You cannot learn English without Purpose". I believe that the purpose is not only the final result. It's also everything that includes the process and challenges that involves the learning of a second language. It's seeing a sense and a purpose in each content learned, in each class and activity, bringing the language with a purpose to your real life. And my purpose itself is to elevate and boost women lives to a next level through the opportunities that the communication in English can bring.

What inspired you to start your business, and what hurdles have you overcome along the way?

I was an English teacher at schools in Brazil and when the pandemic came, I had to transit to the online (as all the world 😅). But little time after the teaching passed to be online, I moved to Spain. Few months later, the teaching began in person again and then, I got sacked (as expected). Then, a friend of mine motivated me to start my own Instagram page. She helped me with my visual id, and taught me some things about social media and marketing. She, basically, presented me all this universe, that at that time, was unknown for me. Then, I started to get to know more people and mentors, took courses, built network and developed my business each time more.

The hurdles that I still go through is the challenge of being "everything" in your business; you have to create your services and methods, you have to attend, you have to make contents for social media, you have to prospect, to sell, draw contracts, charge, achieve targets... too many things! I get overwhelmed sometimes. So, I try to give myself a break or change the strategy and then start again.

What motivated you to invest in a branding photoshoot, and how do you envision these photos aligning with your brand's message?

Well, I had cut my hair a few months ago. My hair’s been always long and having had this haircut was a very big change for me, not only physical but it had a meaning too. It was a new phase and a new beginning with a new version of me. More empowered and stronger. So, obviously I needed to register this and renew my photos. As I was in Brazil and Lala was too, I saw an opportunity to "combine the useful with the pleasant", and the shoot was completely thought out and structured so that I could express the elements of my brand. Each photo has a meaning, whether due to the pose, the colors or the scenery.

ree

How do you plan to incorporate these brand photos into your marketing efforts and overall brand strategy?

Some photos were for a launch that was underway at the time, and others were for the brand in general. I intend to continue using photos for contents on my social media, always trying to combine as much as possible what the photo conveys with the content of the posts.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering investing in a branding photoshoot to enhance their brand's presence and storytelling?

You know that an image speaks more than a word, right? Well, I believe that professional photos provide more credibility. I think it's essential to invest in a targeted shoot to be more intentional in your communication and contents, and it also demonstrates commitment to your business. For this, I would highly recommend Lala, as she goes deeply inside your brand and with that in mind, she expresses on the photos all the meaning of your brand and business. Not to mention that she is very open and willing to do the photoshoot the best moment for you, before, during and after it.

What goals do you aim to achieve through your business, and how do you define success?

I aim to achieve a high revenue through my purpose and business. That would be my sign that I am on the right way.

I define success as not having to worry too much about your bills, as mortgage and supermarket, being healthy and independent (emotionally, physically and financially), being able to travel every 3 or 6 months, growing and having new experiences around the world, all of this being a harvest of the fruits of your labor, with clients who value your time, knowledge and competence.
